What this is

Professional services has different math now.

For thirty years, the answer to growing a professional services firm was the same: hire. More partners, more associates, more billable hours.

AI broke that equation. The firms outperforming their peers now aren't doing it with more headcount. They're doing it with different math underneath.

Revenue per person looks different. Cost-to-serve looks different. What a senior partner actually does looks different. The category has a name. We're building it.

What membership is

A community built around three things.

Collective 54 is a community of founders building AI-Native professional services firms. Membership gives them three things.
Methodology
The proven ways to run a boutique professional services firm, from client acquisition to pricing to exit.
Technology
Co-Founder, the AI that puts the methodology to work.
Capacity
Collective 54 staff who operate Co-Founder on a member's behalf and deliver finished work. A system, not a tool. Outputs, not inputs.
Community wraps all three. It is where founders pressure-test decisions with peers who run firms like theirs, and it is the reason the rest holds together.
Who's Behind It

The founder who named the category.

Greg Alexander is the category creator of the AI-native boutique professional services firm. He was the first to name the shift now reshaping the industry, the move from firms where people deliver the work to firms where AI delivers the work and people supervise judgment, and he built the framework the field uses to navigate it.

That framework — Era 1, Era 2, Era 3 — maps how professional services evolves. In Era 1, people deliver the work. In Era 2, technology enables the people. In Era 3, AI delivers the work while humans supervise judgment. Greg is its architect, and the pioneer helping founders make that transition on purpose rather than by accident.

His authority is earned. Greg founded SBI, a management consulting firm, scaled it into the market leader, and sold it for $162 million. He then founded Collective 54, the first community built exclusively for founders of boutique professional services firms, now evolving into the operating system for firms converting their services into software. Through it he has worked with hundreds of founders and guided 61 member-firm exits.

At heart, Greg is a builder's builder: a founder who built and sold his own firm, then set out to help other founders do the same. He is the author of The AI-Native Firm: How Founders Build More Valuable Firms When Services Become Software and launched and hosted the Pro Serv Podcast, the first mover founders turn to when they want to understand where the industry is heading and what it takes to build a firm that thrives there.
